The successful candidate will join our dedicated team in ensuring excellent dental care and preventive treatments for our patients. This role is perfect for those who are available primarily on Mondays and Fridays, with potential to add other days. Working hours vary between the shift options of 8am-7pm or 8am-3pm, providing some flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient care plans.
  • Perform dental cleaning procedures such as scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth.
  • Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) for the detection of oral health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies, including but not limited to proper tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
  • Assist in managing medical and dental emergencies during dental procedures.
  • Participate in the assessment and management of oral diseases.
  • Maintain a cleanly and hygienic environment, adhering strictly to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive dental care.
  • Participate in continuous education opportunities to stay updated on modern dental practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Current dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform dental procedures comfortably.
  • Experience with dental management software is preferable.
  • Ability to work part-time, primarily on Mondays and Fridays; willingness to expand days as needed.
  • Knowledge of dental equipment and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations within a dental office.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and certification.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care to patients.
