Job Summary
We are seeking a caring Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires strong communication skills and a high level of empathy. At our practice, we are all about the relationship and trust between patient and provider - some of these patient relationships go back to when the practice was started in the 1970's!
We are all about educating our patients on what is best for them - you will never be asked to sell dentistry here. We have two female dentists practicing here who are committed to fostering a great work environment and providing the best care for patients with the most current technologies. We have hygienists on our team who have been at the practice for over 25 years and are looking for another long term relationship.
Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
- Conduct dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, while ensuring patient comfort.
- Collaborate with the doctor on the best treatment for prevention and management of gingival disease.
- Assist in the application of preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
- Taking periodic radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist in CO.
- Proficient knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
- Experience with Open Dental and Dexis is a bonus!
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of dental hygiene.
