Client Service Representative

$19-$21 Hourly Pay

We are looking for a CSR with excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, organizational skills, and the ability to perform tasks efficiently.

Although we offer flexibility in scheduling, our ideal candidate would be able to work any shift that is needed with some weekends. We look forward to providing our new team members with personal growth, happiness, and a family environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Greet clients and their pets. Help with completing the appointment check in process. This can include the following: inputting new client information, retrieving/scanning in/linking previous medical records, confirming all client/pet information is correct, and letting the medical team know the patient has arrived and is ready for check-in.
  • Assist in checking out clients, including reviewing invoices, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, and setting future appointments for follow-up visits.
  • Answer phone calls from clients and assists them in scheduling appointments, answering basic vaccination questions, answering questions about pet needs, clinic pricing, filling out prescription requests, selling prescription food, and more.
  • Triaging calls to determine the level of urgency and scheduling veterinary appointments accordingly
  • Communicating with clients via phone, text, or email in a professional and friendly manner
  • Help with the cleanliness and maintenance of the hospital to ensure a great team and client experience.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years’ experience in veterinary practice (or human medical practice) preferred
  • Computer experience (email usage, Word/Excel) and proficiency required in front desk equipment (such as fax machine, credit card machine, copy machine, and postage meter)
  • Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits, make change, and process payments utilizing credit card and check terminal
  • There must be a general understanding of veterinary terminology, situational understanding and being able to successfully communicate these situations with clients and veterinary team.
  • Able to phone and waiting room triage to determine the difference between an emergency and a routine office visit
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
  • Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks
  • Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
  • Must be able to work seated for a majority of day
