Collections Specialist - Denver, CO (in-office)

Hourly pay rate: $23-25/hr + bonuses

Benefits:
This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).

Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls to customers regarding overdue payments
  • Conduct high-volume outbound dials daily in a metric‑driven environment
  • Utilize an automated dialer system to manage volume‑based outreach and improve account resolution
  • Identify and negotiate payment solutions to bring delinquent accounts current
  • Guide customers through various stages of delinquency and work accounts toward resolution
  • Follow up with customers via email to answer questions and confirm payment arrangements
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all customer interactions and account activity
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable collection laws, regulations, and company policies (including FDCPA and FCRA guidelines)
  • Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals related to call volume, quality, and account resolution
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in a high‑volume call environment
  • Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to express empathy, patience, and professionalism when discussing sensitive financial matters
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and independently problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑motivated with a strong drive to exceed performance goals in a metrics‑driven setting
  • Proficient in computer applications with strong and accurate data entry skills
  • Working knowledge of FDCPA and FCRA compliance practices
  • Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
  • Experience using a dialer system
