TEMPORARY Seasonal Employee - Cherry Creek State Park
Join the State of Colorado as a temporary seasonal employee at Cherry Creek State Park. Employment is variable, starts early 2026, and lasts for a maximum of nine months.
Positions- Revenue Lead – $19.00/hr:
Customer service position greeting visitors, selling passes, managing cash, supervising entrance attendants.
Responsibilities include:- Understand and follow Park regulations, policies and procedures.
- Apply excellent customer service, cash handling and supervisory skills.
- Train and supervise entrance station attendants.
- Maintain entrance station attendants' working files.
- Prepare cash change funds and shift box pass inventories.
- Assist Revenue Manager with cash and pass inventory audits.
- Reconcile attendant time sheets, shift reports and bank deposits.
- Monitor entrance stations for cleanliness, supplies and brochures.
- Assist with collection of self-service and shower revenue.
- Coordinate Group Picnic process including check-in/check-out.
- Maintain assigned vehicle as needed.
- Keep visitors and staff informed of events, schedule changes and notices.
- Revenue report data entry.
- Collect revenue, complete shift report and balance shift box at end of each shift.
- Provide information and assistance to park visitors.
- Receive and pass along visitor complaints.
- Assist with special events or programs within the park.
- Other duties as assigned.
- ANSC Inspector – $18.00/hr:
Customer service position inspecting for invasive species.
Responsibilities include:- Staff the park ANS inspection station.
- Conduct physical boat inspections and boater interviews.
- Provide information and assistance to the boating public.
- Cleaning and light maintenance duties of interior and exterior of ANS inspection areas.
- Accurate counting and recording of all boat inspections.
- Training in boat inspection and decontamination procedures will be provided.
- Document and report visitor complaints.
- Other duties as assigned.
- May be required to work the ANS station for an 8-hour shift and take lunch at the station.
- PARK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – $19.00/hr:
General maintenance responsibilities for public facilities and state-owned vehicles.
Duties include:- Operate and perform routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment.
- Assure quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors.
- Assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and transporting materials and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- VISITOR SERVICES TECHNICIAN – $18.00/hr:
Customer service position in visitor center or gate entrance.
Responsibilities include:- Staff the park entrance station and/or the visitor center.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors.
- Sell park passes, permits, books, maps, clothing, firewood and other items.
- Operate a cash register.
- Answer phone calls and transfer/take messages.
- Photo-copying and filing.
- Collect revenue, complete shift report and balance shift box at end of each shift.
- Prepare campground reservation forms and documents.
- Document and report visitor complaints.
- Cleaning and light maintenance duties of gates, visitor center and or offices.
- Assist with special events or programs within the park.
- Other duties as assigned.
- OFFICE ASSISTANT – $18.00/hr:
Customer service position handling passes and licenses.
Responsibilities include:- Staff the visitor center.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors.
- Sell passes, permits, books, maps, clothing, and other items.
- Operate a cash register.
- Answer phone calls and transfer/take messages.
- Photo-copying and filing.
- Collect revenue, complete shift report and balance shift box at end of each shift.
- Prepare campground reservation forms and documents.
- Document and report visitor complaints.
- Cleaning and light maintenance duties.

- ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATOR – $17.00/hr:
Facilitates interpretive and environmental education programs.
