Denver Arts and Venues is seeking an Event and Film Permitting Specialist.

Denver Arts and Venues - Public Event and Film Permitting (PEFP) provides high quality services to the special event and film industries while being responsive to the communities and residents that attend and host them. This is an exciting opportunity to be a central point of contact in the logistical coordination and permitting of more than 450 events and 350 filming projects held annually in Denver.

The Event and Film Permitting Specialist will be part of the team responsible for coordinating the citywide permitting and compliance logistics for all public events and films on public property (in parks and on streets). The wide array of events we work with include road races, bike races, farmer's markets, community events, cultural events, parades, and music and food festivals.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Serve as a primary point of contact for event organizers, film producers, vendors, city agencies, and the public by interpreting and clearly explaining City and agency processes, policies, and requirements.
* Manage and respond to high-volume inquiries across phone and multiple inboxes, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent guidance.
* Oversee intake and initial review of special event and film applications; route requests through the citywide workflow, enforce deadlines and requirements, and issue permits and invoices.
* Monitor event and film applications throughout the full approval lifecycle to ensure compliance with all city requirements.
* Manage and maintain the City’s special event and film databases, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and retention of records for operational and historical purposes.
* Document any revision of city-wide permitting rules, requirements, and contacts in order to maintain current process and guidance documents
* Collaborate with multiple City agencies to identify and resolve potential conflicts, process gaps, and challenges related to public events and films.
* Facilitate and participate in recurring coordination meetings with city agencies, organizers, producers, and stakeholders to align expectations, timelines, and operational needs.
