Graphic Designer

Hybrid schedule: 3 days remote, 2 days in-office per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays)

Steep Marketing is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing Direct Mail team. This role is primarily execution-focused: owning a repeatable workflow, producing high volumes of mailers, and ensuring every piece is accurate, on-brand, and print-ready. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. An extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as this role is responsible for creating, editing, and delivering direct mail pieces to exact client specs.

While there is some room for creative problem-solving and continuous improvement, this position is a “wash-rinse-repeat” role by design. If you love process, details, precision, and consistency, this role will be a great fit.

• Receive and review order submissions for accuracy, completeness, and feasibility
• Build direct mail pieces using Adobe Illustrator and In Design
• Modify internal templates to ensure each mailer is unique (photos, colors, fonts, layouts, etc.)
• Prepare and send proofs to clients for compliance review and approval
• Make revisions based on client and compliance feedback, with fast turnaround times
• Package and deliver final, print-ready files to our print team
• Manage and prioritize 10+ projects at any given time, ensuring deadlines are met
• Maintain quality control across all deliverables (design, copy placement, specs, compliance)
• Communicate proactively about progress, timelines, and roadblocks
• Continuously look for small ways to improve designs, workflows, and performance
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment

• Minimum of 3 years of graphic design experience (direct mail or print experience strongly preferred)
• Full proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and In Design
• Experience preparing files for professional printing
• Comfort working within templates while still elevating the final output
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage repeatable tasks without sacrificing quality
• Clear, proactive, and professional communication skills
• Ability to take feedback well and iterate quickly
• A positive, adaptable attitude with a willingness to collaborate
• Familiarity with Mac operating systems is a plus
• Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000 per year (based on experience)
