Our client, an established Colorado based Top ENR ranked General Contractor, is seeking to hire a Construction Project Engineer at their offices/projects in Englewood, CO. This firm has built a reputation for delivering ground up and renovation projects across healthcare, higher education, K 12, senior living, municipal, defense aerospace, light industrial, office, and nonprofit markets. And notably, has been awarded year over year as a "Top Place to Work" across it's multiple offices Colorado and Texas.

The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Superintendent from preconstruction through closeout on commercial projects ranging from $5M to $30M. This role provides direct exposure to estimating coordination, subcontractor buyout, document control, permitting, scheduling, cost tracking, and client communication. Clear growth path into Project Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support subcontractor scope development, bid leveling, and buyout.
  • Track permitting and coordinate approvals with local jurisdictions.
  • Assist with preconstruction planning and mobilization readiness.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change documentation, and project closeout.
  • Support schedule updates, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Participate in Owner Architect Contractor meetings and maintain clear communication across the project team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with a commercial General Contractor.
  • Exposure to ground up or major renovation projects valued at $5M or greater preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Compensation

$80,000 to $100,000 annual base salary
