Senior Estimator - Commercial Paint

Established in 1968, Cherry Coatings is one of the largest commercial paint contractors in the country. We are a family‑owned business that provides architectural, industrial, and maintenance coating services for some of the most recognizable facilities in Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, and beyond. Our strong emphasis on high‑quality service and client satisfaction has made us the select partner for general contractors, property management firms, and facility managers.

We are looking for a highly skilled Estimator to join our Industrial and Commercial Paint Team.

• Thoroughly analyze drawings and specifications.
• Attend job site walks to review existing conditions; partner with Field teams.
• Understand contractual terms and conditions.
• Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs.
• Assemble estimates and proposals.
• Actively track & follow‑up all bids.
• Organize subcontractor’s quotations to ensure accuracy of all required documents.
• Draft Project budgets and schedules for review.
• Assemble Preconstruction Review with Operations team.
• Ability to engage, develop & influence business with New and Existing Customers.
• Attend & participate in business meetings, industry conferences, and network activities.

• High level of fluency reading plans, specifications & related documents.
• Strong eye for detail.
• Able to maintain focus & deliver against deadlines.
• Experience and familiarity with the construction industry.
• Competent with technology/programs Plan Swift, Plan Grid, On‑Screen Takeoff, Building Connected, MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Above‑average written & verbal communication and math skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced environment, variable working hours both in office & field.
• Enjoy various challenges from takeoff to sales.
• Graduate in engineering, architectural, or construction management program is a benefit.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
