Operations Manager
As a Commercial Remodel General Contractor, our regional offices scope, hire and manage all trades from cradle-to-grave for projects replacing 1-60+ elevators and escalators primarily in the private sector. We have 70+ years in the construction industry, 30+ of which are in this industry niche and support 12 regional offices in the major Western cities. Territory base is Denver Metro, the Mountains, the Springs, and an occasional project in Cheyenne or Laramie. Some overnights are required.
- Coordinate site survey and estimates with sales team member
- Pre-construction requires scope review and finalization
- Manage trades and establish schedules with 3 weeks look-ahead
- Manage project schedules, conduct site visits and progress meetings
- Oversee day-to-day interactions with elevator contractors, Owners, Consultants, building engineers and property managers.
- Problem-solve construction issues for Code Compliance
- Support sales on change orders
- 5+ years minimum with steady employment history as CPM
- Proficient in budgeting and scoping for commercial remodel projects
- Knowledge of local inspection processes and Code compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Project
- Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Must be able to perform site visits, drive schedule cradle-to-grave, review and evaluate trade scopes
- Hands‑on knowledge or experience with major trades, including MEP, AS
- Bachelors or AA in Construction Management ore related with field experience
- Strong background knowledge of major construction trades (MEP, AS, FA)
- Excellent verbal communication and grammar skills
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Knowledge of construction methods for rated walls, doors, barricades, scaffolding, openings, concrete, alarms and sprinklers and general electrical
- OSHA 30, other certifications
This full‑time position will manage 35+ interior remodel projects of varying duration and intermittent schedules of 30 days to 3‑4 years. Strong scheduling, good customer service skills and enjoyment in the construction process are success markers for this position, as well as an emphasis on safety on all job sites.
