Engagement: Independent Contractor / As-Needed
We are seeking a reliable architecture, construction management, or engineering student (or early-career professional) to support onsite field measurements for high-end outdoor architectural systems.
This role focuses on accurate site documentation — not design work.
You’ll be visiting active hospitality and commercial sites to capture precise dimensions, elevations, clearances, photos, and field conditions that feed directly into fabrication drawings and engineering coordination.
- Perform accurate field measurements of existing structures, slabs, steel, walls, and clearances
- Capture elevation data, slopes, obstructions, attachment conditions, and access constraints
- Photograph site conditions clearly and consistently
- Document dimensions in provided templates or marked sketches
- Communicate any field irregularities or conflicts immediately
- Coordinate short site access windows with property teams as needed
Typical site time: 1-3 hours
Deliverables turnaround:
Same day or next business day
- Architecture, engineering, construction management, or technical design background
- Comfortable reading plans, understanding dimensions, and working around active job sites
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Comfortable using basic measuring tools (laser measure preferred)
- Able to work independently and follow structured documentation standards
Experience with CAD, scanning, or field verification is a plus — not required.
