Senior Director of Talent Acquisition at W.E. O'Neil

Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 / year

Description

The primary function of the Project Superintendent is to control all field activities related to a project including all on‑site field administration, supervision and technical management of all construction operations. This role will require the supervision and mentoring of the Assistant Project Superintendent(s), Field Engineer(s), and laborers. The Superintendent will also oversee daily construction operations, subcontractor management, owner vendors, and other construction personnel.

Key Responsibilities Technical Skills
  • Capable of supervising a project with a budget range of $5M – $60M under various delivery methods and market sectors.
  • Assist senior supervisory staff on large project teams.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce site logistics plans and temporary facilities.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce site safety programs.
  • Coordinate and manage material deliveries and subcontracts.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Provide input on field activities with cost impacts and follow WEO procedures for change order documentation.
  • Develop and enforce the baseline schedule and weekly 8‑week look‑ahead project schedules.
  • Implement and manage all SWPPP measures and documentation.
  • Obtain and maintain QSP certification if required.
  • Maintain knowledge of all project documents (plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders, correspondence, drawings, submittals).
  • Read and understand subcontracts and enforce contractual obligations.
  • Stay current on document changes and implement them in the field.
  • Provide technical assistance to all team members.
  • Coordinate all field inspections and testing.
Management Skills
  • Provide field information affecting monthly reconciliation reports.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce project‑specific quality control programs.
  • Maintain the P6 baseline schedule and subsequent monthly updates.
  • Document schedule delays and fragments in the master P6 schedule.
  • Ensure timeliness of schedule updates for meetings.
  • Monitor all job‑site control reporting measures.
  • Document project conditions prior to construction starts.
  • Oversee weekly progress photography and labeling.
  • Oversee meeting minutes for all weekly subcontractor, pre‑installation, and safety meetings.
  • Create and issue all project‑specific incident reports.
  • Schedule and chair JHA meetings, utilizing WEO safety department when applicable.
  • Manage daily coordination of subcontractor activities.
  • Document actions related to potential claims or legal actions.
  • Ensure adherence to insurance, labor relations, and EEO requirements.
  • Supervise WEO laborers and third‑party personnel.
  • Submit weekly timesheets for WEO labor force.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing the General Conditions budget.
  • Enforce WEO and Cal‑OSHA safety standards.
  • Collect man‑counts and daily reports for each subcontractor.
  • Create and manage completion and punch lists, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Mentor field staff and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Mentor and develop career paths for Field Engineers and Assistant Project Superintendents.

Qualifications

Four‑year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience; 5–10 years of relevant project field experience as a Field Engineer and Assistant Project Superintendent or equivalent.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
