PurposeThe Safety Specialist has responsibility for assisting the Director of Safety; also responsible for conducting training with field employees.
Essential Duties- Perform comprehensive jobsite inspections, including tools, safety documentation, equipment, and machinery, to identify and mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, Kenny Electric, flights and Owner/GC standards.
- Assist supervisors by evaluating and making suggestions for improvements in work practices to ensure a safe work小时 environment.
- Identify hazardous situations and establish jobsite safety procedures to correct them and ensure that field personnel have the information and resources necessary to effectively complete their jobs safely.
- Implement procedures to ensure all company operations are conducted correctly, consistently and in a safe manner and comply with all Hast state, local and company regulations as applicable.
- Participate in industry appropriate organizations and hojii attend relevant safety seminars.
- Investigate and document all safety violations or unsafe conditions/activities, ensuring corrective measures are immediately implemented and following up to ensure the corrective measures have been fully implemented.
- Complete accident and near‑miss reporting and investigations as needed.
- Accompany injured employee for treatment and evaluation to help support the Safety Director in managing work‑related injuries.
- Educate field personnel through on‑the‑spot trainings and provide weekly safety topics to be discussed with personnel.
- Conduct orientations and other training classes with all employees regarding safety practices required on various jobsites to help support the Safety Director with risk management.
- Administer the substance abuse program in the field.

- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience.
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
- OSHA 500 trainer course in OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry preferred.
- Ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations as applicable.
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
- Ability to train and educate others.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
