Job Title
Project Engineer – 100% Travel

LocationTravel across multiple states. Full‑time, 100% travel.
OverviewWe are recruiting a full‑time Project Engineer to support civil construction projects across multiple states. The role requires continuous travel, with extended assignments in a single location before transitioning to another project.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Project Manager with ongoing changes, issues, and project needs throughout the job lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and the Superintendent to maintain the project schedule, including the overall schedule and the weekly three‑week schedule.
- Bridge the gap between estimating and construction by validating IFC plans, quantities, and assumptions, including processing contract true‑ups based on IFC drawings and field conditions.
- Assist with preparing, tracking, and reconciling change orders and contract true‑ups.
- Manage the submittal process – compile, prepare, submit, track and ensure approval in a timely manner.
- Manage the RFI process – work with the Project Manager to prepare and submit RFIs, track and ensure closure timely.
- Assist with material sourcing and procurement in coordination with the Project Manager and Estimator.
- Support one‑call updates and dig permit coordination to ensure safe field operations.
- Manage GPS topos and surveys – pre‑construction, progress, and as‑built.
- Calculate and verify quantities from GPS models and process survey data for project tracking.
- Maintain FAA Part 107 Drone License and conduct UAV operations as required.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow‑up action items for progress meetings.
- 1–3 years of experience in civil construction (internship experience may be considered).
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Proficiency with Magnet/Topcon Office and construction management software preferred – Procore, Acumatica, Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft 365.
- FAA Part 107 Drone License required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
