What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Lead, coach, and develop an Area Sales Team to meet sales and growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer leaders across multiple states
  • Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to align strategies with market needs
  • Develop and execute annual and long-term area business plans
  • Manage sales expense budgets and ensure accountability through performance scorecards
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Nutrition, Ag Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of successful sales experience, with at least 5+ years in the agriculture industry
  • Strong knowledge and experience in animal nutrition
  • Proven general management skills with a positive track record in volume growth
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

  • Advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) in relevant fields
  • Experience in sourcing and developing talent within the sales environment
  • Ability to think creatively and develop new systems and relationships for success
  • Proven experience in budget management and sales productivity
