Role OverviewCompany is a growing mid-size company seeking a Buyer to manage both strategic leadership and essential daily operations for our retail division. Following a comprehensive training period, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of our products—from initial forecasting and global production scheduling to the granular details of purchase order entry and logistics tracking. In this role, you will leverage the support of Associate Buyers to monitor progress and deliver on all open projects.
Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Business Leadership- Own the weekly inventory planning cycle. You are responsible for analyzing sell-through data and identifying historical trends to ensure optimal stock positioning for growth.
- Serve as the primary contact for retailer planning teams. You will lead discussions regarding demand anomalies, market shifts, and project timelines.
- Proactively identify potential gaps in the supply chain or production; develop and implement solutions to ensure a seamless experience for the customer.
- Ensure daily procurement functions are completed, including manual PO entry, production schedule verification, and detailed project reporting.
- Act as the direct point of contact for freight forwarders, maintaining rigorous oversight of shipping schedules through final delivery.
- Collaborate directly with Sales leadership and China-based staff to monitor production milestones and provide transparent reporting on project progress.
- Experience:
3–6 years of proven experience in retailer supply chain and/or international buying. - Analytical Depth: A strong analytical mindset with the ability to "crunch numbers" and evaluate complex timelines and inventory risks.
- Global Logistics:
Experience in international planning and logistics coordination. - Technical
Skills:
Mid to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. - Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
