Job Details Description Purpose
The Procurement Specialist reports to the Procurement Manager.
The position provides subject matter expertise in procurement systems, supports sourcing activities and manages procurement documentation. This role ensures operational efficiency, procurement analytics, and performance tracking.
As part of the Procurement team, we aim to enhance long-term profitability through strategic partnerships and sustainable practices in collaboration with various departments. Key responsibilities include building and collaborating on a preferred supplier base, executing procurement activities with transparency and ethics, assisting with negotiations on top‑tier contracts, and identifying efficiencies aligned with company values and strategy. The overarching goal is to support teams in delivering transformative experiences to guests, stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors alike.
As the first touchpoint for many of Armstrong Collectives' suppliers and clients, the Procurement Specialist will provide exceptional service to stakeholders and exceed expectations at every opportunity.
Key Areas of Accountability Procurement- Utilizes software programs efficiently to issue purchase orders, reconcile, receive, and process invoices for internal stakeholders
- Coordinate the submission of RFQs and assists with RFPs and RFIs
- Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing records in procurements systems
- Assists with vendor onboarding process and assists AP with documentation
- Captures value metrics and assists with user guide development and technology rollouts
- Manages templates and ensures accurate application in contracts and documentation
- Follows lifecycle management process by maintaining documentation and performing basic risk tracking
- Performs frequent inventory cycle counts and year‑end inventories
- Offers cost analysis and pricing breakdowns to inform managerial decisions and recommendations to stakeholders
- Assists Procurement Manager with contract life cycle management and administration of contract library
- Evaluates and recommends to the Procurement Manager the best possible overall value
- Helps research vendor partnerships to gain access to the best products, services, and contracts
- Assists with vendor vetting and negotiations as it relates to the portfolio
- Provides analyses of existing vendor terms to enhance partnerships
- Provides market insights and performs supplier evaluations
- Responsible for all incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries and ensuring accurate reporting and tracking
- Responsible for sourcing products and services under the guidance of the Procurement Manager
- Responsible for part cataloguing, bin and labeling process and general inventory
- Communicates with freight providers to find the best rates and resolve issues
- Supports efforts to improve supplier performance and reliability
- Assists with vendor evaluations and performs category analysis for supplier rationalization
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, supply chain management or related field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Professional certification in the supply management field (e.g. SCMP or ISM certification is an asset)
- Minimum 3 years comprehensive experience in Procurement or Supply Chain role with analytical and sourcing responsibilities
- Ability to convey a professional demeanor and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly fast‑paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment are essential for this position
- Create and maintain solid and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (e.g., COUPA, Net Suite, Guide Ti) is an asset
- Capable of negotiation and influence
- Effective communicator
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs

- The base salary offered for this role is $62,000 - $75,000 per annum and can vary based on job‑related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity
