Precision Contractors is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Business Development/Sales Manager who is excited about helping us grow our national customer base, further develop our market share and be part of a highly motivated team.

Precision Contractors, founded in 2005, is a nationally recognized commercial general contractor with a corporate office in Englewood, Colorado and a branch office in Salt Lake City, Utah. We specialize in new construction, conversions, tenant improvements, and remodels for retail, restaurant, healthcare, office, and industrial clients across the United States. We are known for integrity, teamwork, and consistently delivering quality projects on time and within budget.

Job Description

Maximize market and industry networking to establish strong working relationships, and opportunities that are critical to our continued success and growth.

Aggressively work with architects, commercial real estate brokers, real estate developers, national chains, franchisees, commercial real estate managers and owners throughout Colorado and central US cities.

Create and facilitate business development and sales strategies to establish cross and vertical market prospecting, and penetration.

Collaboratively works with internal Marketing, Estimating and Project Management teams to gain support for Business Development/Sales initiatives.

Performance goals and metrics will be mutually established to measure the right candidate’s progress and success toward achieving expected results.

This is a respected, professional position and requires a highly driven and goal-oriented individual that is comfortable presenting and interacting with executive level staff, and capable of adjusting approach with field staff.

The position will report to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities General
  • Take directions from senior management
  • Analyze market data and business opportunities
  • Establish performance goals and metrics
  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge to ensure Precision remains a trusted and expert resource in our community
  • Handle a high volume of tasks while prioritizing effectively
  • Multi-task without losing focus
  • Consistently meet deadlines, budgets, and priorities
  • Work and resolve problems independently while remaining a team player
  • Lead activities and resources, and take responsibility for achieving results
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be effective with presenting construction proposals
  • Must be extremely organized, prompt, efficient and professional
  • Must be proactive communicating directly with project principles and colleagues
  • Must demonstrate attention to details and commitment to accuracy in their work
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • As requested, we will work on the days and hours necessary to complete a project with quality, on time, and within budget
Business Development
  • Create and present strategic sales growth plans
  • Achieve volume and gross profit goals
  • Pre-qualify potential clients and their fit within our business model
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships within market/industry
  • Prospect for new opportunities
  • Evaluate and communicate project scope
  • Understand and support questions pertaining commercial construction
  • Communicate verbally and in writing directly with project principles
  • Walk proposed jobs and translate into defined scope
  • Create and present construction project proposals
  • Manage tradeshow booths investments and other industry events
  • Travel may be required to meet prospective clients and develop relationships
Cross-functional Teamwork
  • Work together with supporting internal teams to win new business
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create collateral materials needed to support marketing/sales
  • Motivate and lead others
  • Create and facilitate meeting agendas
  • Use technologies to create new tools and processes to support project life cycle
  • Collaboratively work with groups of people associated with the project life cycle, especially the Marketing and Project Estimating
Data Analysis
