The Role

We re seeking a General Manager to own and scale our Fire & PPE division. This role will lead and drive all commercial and operational elements of this division and partner closely with our Marketing and Sales Director to win and own this exciting new market segment. You ll drive revenue through leasing and commercializing our proprietary waterless cleaning technology to fire departments, ISPs, and other partners, while building market awareness of our innovative technology.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to build a business unit from the ground up within a high growth company and recognized cleantech innovator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the P&L and all operational and revenue elements for the Fire & PPE division
  • Help develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategy
  • Help build the sales function and potentially scale a team as the division grows
  • Set go-to-market and pricing strategies and manage the division budget
  • Partner with our Technology team to advance our R&D agenda and help incubate and commercialize new potential lines of business as we identify opportunities in the market
  • Bring the best of technology and testing to market to continue to establish our leadership position
  • Assess and lead PPE market expansion and vet new market opportinities
  • In partnership with our Sales & Marketing Director, drive new business with fire departments, municipalities, ISPs, and other PPE manufacturers
  • Own key parts of our pipeline and help drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to close in complex government procurement environments
  • Manage strategic partnerships
  • Lead and support the team across all marketing efforts to drive top of funnel awareness, educate the market, and ultimate yield strong conversion
  • Achieve annual revenue targets
  • Attend major industry events (FDIC International, Firehouse Expo, state conferences)
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee all operational elements of this division, from overseeing our Denver cleaning facility to scaling our footprint into new locations
  • Lead and manage the operational teams to ensure we are delivering the highest quality work within SLAs
  • Own and drive the budget for all operational components of the Fire & PPE business
Thought Leadership
  • Become a trusted voice in the fire service community on PPE decontamination
  • Present technical data to fire chiefs, safety officers, and union representatives
  • Advocate for improved PPE cleaning standards
Qualifications

Required

  • 5-7+ years B2B General Management, Commercial Leadership or Sales experience with proven revenue growth
  • 3+ years in leadership role with P&L or business unit ownership
  • Track record selling to government/municipalities with complex procurement cycles
  • Experience achieving annual revenue targets
  • Excel and financial modeling competency
  • Excellent presentation skills for both executives and field personnel
  • Self-starter who builds from the ground up
  • Up to 50%+ travel for customer meetings, trade shows, site visits
Good to Have
  • Fire service, public safety, or PPE industry experience
  • Existing relationships with fire departments or fire service organizations
  • Knowledge of NFPA 1851/1971 standards
  • Understanding of firefighter cancer risks and PFAS contamination issues
  • Experience with ISP networks and fire service supply chain
  • Background in cleantech, industrial equipment, or mission-driven sales
  • Familiarity with AFG/SAFER grant programs and municipal budgeting
  • Base
    : $140K-$180K depending on experience

Location & Travel

Based in Englewood, CO Full-time on site. travel to customer sites, conferences, and ISP partners.
