The Business Analyst will perform the activities involved in proactively identifying process improvement and technology needs of the business area: holding requirements gathering work sessions with business stakeholders, soliciting and gathering user requirements, documenting user requirements, validating user requirements per business processes, presenting requirements to business users for sign off.
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from stakeholders, subject matter experts and other sources, reconcile conflicts distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Decompose high-level business requirements into an appropriate level of business rules and detailed user, functional, and non-functional requirements using alternative views such as user stories, flows, diagrams, models, and use cases when applicable.
- Document requirements in epics, user stories or tasks. Participate in refinement and other agile ceremonies to ensure understanding and successful delivery of required features or fixes.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Review support issues and assist in refining the details of the problem, the impact to the customer and expected results.
- Validate user documentation and release notes for accuracy and completeness.
- Be the liaison between the requester and the software development team through which the requirements flow.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of each of the assigned applications, systems and programs.
- Participate in project teams, coordinate work assignments, and perform complex problem resolution as identified.
- Other duties as assigned or directed.
- Travel to onsite clinics working with customers and end-users for research and design workshop sessions.
- Attend company-wide meetings and events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of healthcare
- 5+ years of analyst experience
- Logical thinking and disciplined task execution skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Ability to develop and maintain written manuals, processes and procedures documents
- This position will be exposed to highly confidential information and data that disclosed would be against Federal and State HIPAA law
- A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment
- Intermediate skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Outlook, Miro, Jira
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Ability to work independently with very minimal guidance.
- Willingness to give and take constructive feedback regularly.
- Innovative mindset and a drive to continuously improve and proactively problem-solve.
- Clearly and concisely communicate ideas, perspectives, research, design problems and solutions in a diplomatic and persuasive manner.

- Travel may be required.
- Located and working at an office location is preferred, flexibility to work remotely as needed.
