Senior Associate, Merchant Strategy & Operations d the support experience for our merchants, owning both the strategy and execution of how we serve them once they’re live on the platform. About The Team

On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and to build products and services for our Merchants to grow their businesses profitably on Door Dash. We work on problems ranging from acquiring and onboarding new merchants to building a positive experience and solving pain points for existing merchants, to growing their sales through new products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Strategize – Build the strategy for helping merchants succeed once they’re live on Door Dash by providing fast and seamless solutions when merchants face issues, minimizing operational friction.
  • Experiment, Analyze and Implement – Use data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment to drive go-to-market and execution for new initiatives to help merchants have the best experience on Door Dash.
  • Influence – Work cross-functionally with product, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and analytics teams to land key initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 2–3 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, banking, technology, or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience and experience leading a team are a plus.
  • Proven track record of working on highly cross-functional initiatives, managing towards ambitious goals, and succeeding in complex environments.
  • Owner/self-starter with bias toward action; proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions.
  • Curious and innovative; focused on continuous improvement.
  • Problem solver who uses first principles and avoids “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
  • Analytical and comfortable pulling data in SQL or modeling in Excel.
  • Grit and a proactive hands-on approach to making things successful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to influence and motivate across levels.
Compensation & Benefits

The starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized by location. Equity opportunities are available; talk to your recruiter for more information.

National base pay range: $78,200—$115,000 USD. In addition, eligible for equity grants. Door Dash provides a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with employer matching, paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits, paid time off and sick leave, medical/dental/vision coverage, holidays, disability and life insurance, family-forming assistance, and mental health programs. Paid Time Off Details
  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation and sick time accrue with specifics provided in policy.
