- Assist students and guests who check-in at the front desk; and answer general questions and concerns to the best of your ability
- Answer phone calls, respond to voicemails, and forward calls to other departments as needed.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Reading and writing correspondence and dealing effectively with a broad range of students, as well as staff, faculty, parents, and the public.
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including de-escalation and conflict resolution.
- Organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Ability to equitably apply policies.
- Ability to maintain the privacy of sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and creatively as they arise.
- A basic understanding of computerized databases and information systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher) is essential.
- Currently enrolled graduate student at the University of Denver and located in Denver Area
- Must have work-study
- Prior experience in an administrative or customer-facing role
- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions may occur.
- Location:
Community Commons, 3rd Floor Suite 3001, suite hours of operation 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
- Occasionally move objects up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
