Job Summary

This role reports into the Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) and is expected to travel no more than 10% of the time. This is an in office position based in Denver .Although this position has routine functions, this position also significantly supports various dynamic needs across the organization as identified by the CFOO. Initiative, critical thinking, attention to detail, and professional support are necessary in this role.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide administrative support to the CFOO. Examples of administrative support include:
    • Administer travel plans and travel preparation
    • Budget and Expense administration
    • Meeting scheduling and administration
    • Create and edit reports and presentations
  • Work with attorneys to complete and file annual state registrations timely and accurately.
  • Ensure watchdog agency applications are updated and submitted timely
  • Support donor stewardship for CFO/COO donor portfolio
  • Support TCU relationships
  • Implement special projects, as assigned by CFOO
  • Supports front desk administration as needed.
  • Maintains certification and provide notary service.
  • Job Requirements

    Competencies
    • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
    • Strong writing and editing skills
    • Demonstrated ability as a proactive self-starter with the capability of problem solving and managing details
    • Ability to organize and meet deadlines for a wide variety of job assignments
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal teams and external constituents
    • Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures
    • Independently solves standard problems; receives guidance on complex problems
    • Interaction with a variety of internal and external constituents. Will interact with Board members, students, TCUs, donors, business partners, and vendors
    • Familiarity with business, accounting, and budgets
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Personal lived experience or professional knowledge of the tribal college system and/or native communities
    Education/ Experience
    • 4 years progressive relevant experience with the above requirements
    Physical Activities
    • Ability to lift twenty pounds
    • Ability to work extensively with a computer
    • Ability to drive
