Overview
Hall & Evans is seeking a candidate with legal assistant or paralegal experience, preferably 5+ years, to support its complex civil litigation practice in our Denver office. This position can require billable hours. This position can offer a hybrid working schedule (3 days/office and 2 days/home) after successfully completing the training period.
Responsibilities- Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience - 5+ years, preferred
- Prepare motion and discovery shells, motion filing
- Coordinate depositions and trials
- Assist with preparation of trial/mediation/arbitration documents
- Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks
- Schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements
- Outlook/LSS calendaring and iManage document management program experience is highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of manipulation and editing of PDF documents using Acrobat
- Maintain client files and contact information
- Process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Editing, proofreading, and grammar skills
- Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to manage a high-volume workload with critical deadlines
- Professional integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment
- Ability to work overtime as necessary; ability to do billable hours (preferred)
- Other administrative tasks as assigned; complex defense litigation experience is highly preferred
- Minimum of high school graduation; business school or related professional legal secretarial degree or paralegal certificate strongly preferred
- Experience with complex defense litigation highly preferred
The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $77,300 annually. This position will be posted until February 27, 2026.
