Senior Accountant

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our project managers and external customers to solve problems and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles from preparing monthly invoices to preparing and posting journal entries, monthly account analysis, general ledger reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Responsible for maintaining accounts receivable aging reports and collection follow up.
• Assist with foreign currency entries on payable transactions as needed for Mexico entity.
• Prepares, verifies and encodes accounts payable invoices. Maintains approved vendor list.
• Process payments, review account statements, reports, and other records related to accounts payable.
• Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances.
• Reconcile intercompany balances with our global entities, complete analyses as needed.
• Monthly account analysis and processing of various journal entries.
• Payroll processing and reporting
• Process complex project billing
• Support annual audit
• Prepare personal property tax declarations and consumer use tax filings for multiple jurisdictions
• Process 1099’s
• Prepares complex monthly client invoices
• Verifies invoice terms with contract terms

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• 7+ years of related experience (consulting firm experience preferred)
• Advance level of Excel and other MS Office software
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint Accounting Software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

In accordance with Colorado state law, the following annual compensation range is applicable for the job and Colorado location associated with this requisition: $35 – $45/hour. The actual compensation may vary from the posted hiring range based upon compensable factors, including experience, education, and skill level.
