Accounting Manager

Korn Ferry has been engaged by our client in searching for an Accounting Manager. Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed, holding company. This is a newly created, critical role in the organization that will have a direct impact on the company’s growth and success. Located in Denver they are on a hybrid schedule.

The Accounting Manager will oversee the corporate accounting function for multiple operating entities. This role includes leading and developing a team of Accountants, managing the close process, and continually improving departmental processes and controls. The position reports to the Director of Accounting.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review complex journal entries, including allocations, accruals, deferred revenue, ASC 842 lease accounting, prepaid amortization, intercompany activity, and other advanced accounting items.
• Strengthen and refine internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity of financial results.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and reviewing audit requests.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants.
• Partner cross‑functionally with various departments to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Execute special projects, reports, and ad hoc tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) with the ability to conduct technical research
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and technical skills.
• Experience in a multi‑entity or multi‑company environment is a plus.
• Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%).
