The Accounting Associate is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Check and verify financial records and transactions.
- Prepare invoices and vouchers and maintain accounting documentation.
- Post ledger and general journal entries.
- Balance accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Reconcile company Visa credit cards and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with monthly close processes, including account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records within Quick Books Online.
- Prepare financial and operational reports as requested.
- Manage shared accounting and vendor communication email inboxes.
- Coordinate bi-weekly team meetings.
- Oversee office supplies and organization.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Support HR administrative functions when needed.
- Assist with executive administrative support and special projects.
- High school diploma.
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Basic reading, writing, addition, and subtraction skills.
- Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in financial data entry.
- 2–3 years of administrative or executive assistant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Quick Books Online.
- Experience with Stripe and online payment processing platforms.
- Experience preparing and reconciling expense reports.
