We have an immediate need for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or Santa Barbara office. This position is an integral part of our finance department and will be responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable and collections. This position will be based out of our Denver office and will report to the Director of Revenue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make daily collection calls and emails to clients
- Work with assigned attorneys to review their matters and determine action plans
- Update ARCS (client accounts receivable database software) to accurately track ongoing activities
- Research discrepancies such as short and duplicate payments
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and be organized
- Reduce delinquency of assigned accounts
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with attorneys and staff members
- Identify billing errors and instruct billing team to revise invoices
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff in collection efforts
- Prepare write-offs and client refunds
- Reconcile payments on account
- Serve as primary contact for clients seeking assistance with payments and billing discrepancies
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years Accounts Receivable (including collections) experience
- Previous law firm or professional service experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong Experience with Excel and Word
- Previous law firm or professional service experience preferred
- Knowledge of 3E and ARCS 3G preferred
Compensation and Benefits: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering salary for this role, ranging from $65,000 - $78,000.
