Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing, privately backed, multi-brand consumer services organization is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support the evolution and modernization of its Accounts Payable function. This role partners closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to own full-cycle AP, support system enhancements, and drive process improvement in a high-volume environment.

• Lead end-to-end processing of high-volume vendor invoices with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls
• Review and validate invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies
• Perform advanced vendor account reconciliations and resolve complex discrepancies
• Own weekly payment cycles, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Maintain and enhance vendor records, onboarding, and compliance documentation
• Support month-end close through AP accruals, account analysis, and reporting
• Serve as a primary escalation point for vendor inquiries and issue resolution
• Assist with audits and provide required AP documentation
• Partner cross-functionally to identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements
• Support testing, configuration, and early adoption of a new Net Suite AP environment

• 4–6+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and best practices
• Experience in high-volume, multi-location, or multi-entity environments
• Net Suite experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Prior involvement in system implementations, AP automation, or process improvement initiatives a plus
• Experience in food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or other multi-unit operating environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Clear communicator with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
