Description
We are seeking a German speaking
Bookkeeper/ Accountant for our Business Processing Outsourcing Department in our Denver, CO office. We are looking for the right individual with strong organizational skills, the ability to work within deadlines, and the capacity to execute multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure a high level of professional standards.

The primary location for this position is in Houston, TX (on-site if local). The team is also open to candidates who are available for on-site work at our Birmingham, AL or Denver, CO offices to assist the Houston team remotely.
- This position requires a positive, self-motivated individual with superior organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks to maintain professional standards.
- Provide consultation to the client and its parent company on accounting, business administration, and taxation needs.
- Take ownership of assigned client engagements, anticipate issues, and develop plans to complete engagements within budget.
- Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Prepare various sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and other forms.
- Payroll processing.
- Ensure timely completion and communication of project status internally.
- Research technical issues and discuss with Manager/Partner for guidance.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- German language skills are required (native or fully professional proficiency).
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or higher, or German Steuerfachangestellte(r).
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including preparing financial statements and communicating with clients.
- Experience using Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online.
- Accounting software experience in Microsoft D365 and SAP is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and independently within an established administrative framework.
- Strong knowledge of US-GAAP; HGB knowledge is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the US tax system.
- Team player, willing to contribute to a team of personable, highly motivated professionals.
- High-level client-service orientation and ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to understand challenges facing partners and staff and manage/reschedule priorities effectively.
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to develop processes and follow through.

Pay Range in the Denver Metropolitan Area (if applicable):
Base Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
