Overview
We are seeking a German speaking
Bookkeeper/ Accountant for our Business Processing Outsourcing Department in our Denver, CO office. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to uphold professional standards. The primary location is Houston, TX (on-site if local). The team is open to candidates who can be on-site at our Birmingham, AL, or Denver, CO offices to assist the Houston team remotely.
- This demanding role requires a positive, self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks to maintain high professional standards.
- Provide consultation to the client and its parent company on their accounting, business administration, and taxation needs.
- Take ownership of the client engagements assigned, anticipate issues, and develop a plan to complete the engagement within budget.
- Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Prepare various sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and other related forms.
- Process payroll.
- Ensure timely completion and communicate project status internally.
- Research technical issues and discuss with Manager/Partner for further guidance.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- German language skills are required (native or fully professional proficiency).
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or higher, or German Steuerfachangestellte(r).
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including preparing financial statements and communicating with clients.
- Experience using Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and work independently within an established administrative framework.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; knowledge of HGB is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the US tax system.
- Team player who contributes to the success of a personable, highly motivated team.
- Demonstrates a high level of client-service orientation and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion and understanding of clients’ needs.
- Ability to understand challenges facing partners and staff, and to manage/reschedule priorities effectively.
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to develop processes and follow through.

Base Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
