Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $50,000 to $65,000 per year.

• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Complete month‑end and year‑end close activities accurately and on time.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and related reports.
• Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with AR and AP teams to ensure accurate postings and resolve discrepancies.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
• Work independently while adapting to changing deadlines and business needs.
• Apply problem‑solving skills to identify and implement process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive financial information.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger work and reconciliations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
• Possess CPA certification or eligibility and experience in audit or a growth‑oriented environment preferred.
