Senior Accountant – Business Integrations

Korn Ferry is supporting a client with a hiring need for a Senior Accountant, Business Integrations opportunity. Our client is a fast-growing, private equity backed, holding company. This is a critical role in the organization that will have a direct impact on the company’s growth and success.

The Senior Accountant – Business Integrations is responsible for supporting due diligence activities, transaction accounting, and the financial integration of newly acquired businesses. This role plays a key part in ensuring successful onboarding, alignment of accounting practices, and accurate financial reporting during and after acquisitions.

• Lead and coordinate the financial integration of acquired businesses, including onboarding activities and preparation of opening balance sheet documentation.
• Prepare, analyze, and record complex journal entries such as allocations, accruals, payroll entries, prepaid amortizations, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for acquired entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss statements to validate completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Serve as a key accounting resource for system implementations, conversions, and process enhancements.
• Interpret financial data, perform research, and develop solutions to support timely and accurate reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally with various teams to improve transparency and quality of financial information.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3 – 7 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to perform technical accounting research.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-company structures is a plus.
