The RoleWe are seeking a Corporate Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting and the monthly close process. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with the opportunity to grow in responsibility over time as the business and finance function continue to scale.

What You’ll Do Core Accounting- Support a timely monthly close process
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations with clear support
- Assist with completion and posting of journal entries across multiple entities
- Assist with internal financial reports and schedules
- Help identify and resolve accounting issues as they arise
- Support accounts payable activities, including invoice coding and securing approvals
- Help ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time
- Provide backup coverage across accounting functions as needed
- Assist with documenting and improving accounting processes
- Support external audit requests, including pulling schedules and documentation
- Help keep accounting records organized and audit-ready
- Work closely with the Controller during audit and year-end close processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Several years of experience in accounting/finance roles
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Comfortable working through a month-end close
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with an ERP system (Net Suite preferred)
- Railroad industry experience a plus
- CPA preferred but not required. We place equal value on practical experience, reliability, and a willingness to learn
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary per year.
This position is also eligible for a competitive bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
