Sr. Accountant

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing company to add an experienced Senior Accountant with CORE software experience. This is a great hybrid opportunity with great pay, benefits and company culture. The Senior Accountant is responsible for:

Essential Functions

+ Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, contracts, and purchase orders.

+ Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data for reports.

+ Manage cash receipts, disbursements, and reconciliations.

+ Support payroll processing and employee benefit reconciliations.

+ Assist with procurement card reconciliations and related approvals.

+ Prepare tax and regulatory forms as required.

+ Reconcile general and grant ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial information.

+ Ensure transactions are properly coded, documented, and compliant with policies and regulations.

+ Participate in year-end closing and other periodic accounting cycles.

+ Cross-train with accounting team members to provide coverage and support.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field (with 24 semester hours in accounting or equivalent coursework).

+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

+ Ability to analyze data, apply judgment, and ensure accuracy and compliance.

+ Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheets.

+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Experience

+ Relevant accounting experience, preferably in a role with diverse financial responsibilities.

+

Experience with payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting preferred.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Knowledge of GASB and CORE software strongly preferred.

+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Experience

+ Relevant accounting experience, preferably in a role with diverse financial responsibilities.
