HOURLY RATE: $31.00
About the club: Established in 1887, Denver Country Club is a prestigious private club with 585 members. The club hosts an 18‑hole golf course, indoor golf simulators, tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, and fine dining.

The objective is primary responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting tasks. A successful candidate will be self‑motivated, deliver quality work, and use critical thinking to solve problems.
Specific ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable:
- Process member payments
- Investigate and resolve member queries
- Daily cash reconciliation
- Prepare bank deposits
- Communicate with members via phone, email and in person
- Special billings as assigned
Accounts Payable:
- Key accounts payable invoices, matching to purchasing module
- Use tax accruals
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements
- Vendor maintenance and 1099 preparation
Clerical:
- Sorting & distribution of mail
- Chit detail filing
- Assist HR with clerical duties as needed
General Accounting:
- Assist in month end close
- Prepare commission calculations for payroll
- Northstar software support, troubleshooting & POS key maintenance
- Some journal entry preparation
- Some account reconciliations
- Special projects & report writing as assigned
- 2‑3 years experience in A/P, A/R and general accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Must be able to remain stationary for >50% of the time.
- Occasional need to move around office or club premises.
- Operating computer, calculator, phone, printers, copiers.
- Read reports, spreadsheets, screens accurately.
- Communicate with staff, vendors, management.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Neat appearance; prefer clean shaven and professional.
- Excellent communication skills and friendly personality.
