The Accounting Manager will oversee the corporate accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements, and efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, technically strong accounting professional with experience managing a small team and supporting complex real‑estate transactions.

• Manage the day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, property accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and variance analyses.
• Oversee significant transactions, including property acquisitions, sales, redevelopments, and financing activities.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain SOX compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members, setting clear goals and accountability.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Apply advanced accounting principles to resolve complex issues and support process improvements.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on accounting software and property operating systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting) is a plus.

• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 or top‑tier firm) preferred.
• Real‑estate or REIT industry experience strongly desired.

• Strong technical accounting expertise, with an understanding of real‑estate complexities.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a high‑performing accounting team.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
