Position Overview

The Nursery Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing both strategic and tactical plans to drive revenue growth across the Dallas–Fort Worth market. This role leads a team focused on nursery sales, expanding market share, and optimizing asset performance in alignment with company financial objectives. Additionally, the Nursery Sales Manager builds and strengthens channel partner relationships through the leadership and development of Territory Managers and Sales Representatives.

What

you'll do
  • Develop and implement a plan that delivers sales performance results aligned with regional sales objectives, with a focus on nursery sales, channel partner development, and customer retention.
  • Monitor channel partner performance and replace or upgrade low‑performing partners as needed.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage account activity, track opportunities, document customer interactions, and report on pipeline and performance.
  • Promote the sale of products and services to channel partners and end users, maintaining accountability for achieving sales and market share goals.
  • Counsel channel partners on product, marketing, financial, and management‑related matters.
  • Direct dealer location planning efforts by analyzing market coverage and performance to determine the most effective retail outlet locations.
  • Coach and counsel team members to support employee development and professional growth, while providing guidance to field staff on managing channel partner and customer relationships.
  • Supervise direct reports and/or team members, including hiring and placement, work direction, coaching, development, and performance management.
Skills we are seeking
  • Proven experience leading a $40M+ revenue business with full P&L accountability, consistently driving top‑line growth and profitability.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive leadership experience across sales and/or marketing functions, preferably within wholesale, distribution, or B2B environments (industry experience a plus, but not required).
  • Demonstrated ability to energize and inspire a sales team — celebrating wins, building engagement, and fostering a high‑performance culture — while holding team members accountable to clear metrics and results.
  • Strong operational discipline with experience driving CRM adoption (Salesforce preferred) and leveraging data to improve pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and overall sales effectiveness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
