Travel RN - Trauma Stepdown

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description

The Surgical Trauma Stepdown unit cares for patients requiring acute surgical intervention and post-operative care, including trauma, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries. Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals provides compassionate and competent care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and telemetry.
• Administer medications and IV drips according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse with valid state license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience in trauma/orthopedic nursing preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system is a plus.
