Job Overview

This full‑time position offers 36 hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient day shift schedule. University Behavioral Health of Denton (UBH Denton) is a private, 104‑bed free‑standing psychiatric hospital serving North Texas and surrounding communities since 2005. We provide inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services for adolescents and adults.

Shift: 7 am – 7:30 pm, rotating weekends.

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, following the nursing process and standards of care.

• Ensure that all staff deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
• Maintain compliance with the Joint Commission, state and regulatory standards, and patient rights standards.
• Consistently implement Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies and procedures.
• Document patient information and nursing care as part of nursing services.

Education
:
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience
:
Minimum of three (3) years in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.

Licensure
:
Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements
:

• Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
• CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care and Verbal De‑escalation (including restraint and seclusion policies) within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraint procedures.
