Medical City Denton – Supervisor of House Administration (Registered Nurse) – PRN Shift.

Our Administrative Supervisor Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. The House Supervisor represents Hospital and Nursing Administration in their absence and supports the mission, vision, values and philosophy of the Department of Nursing. The House Supervisor promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community.

• Facilitate patient transfer in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Ensure standards of performance are maintained as they relate to each department, with patient safety as the primary goal.
• Demonstrate appropriate management acumen in effective conflict resolution involving staff, physicians or customers.
• Exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary patient care.
• Have the general clinical responsibility for patient care departments for a specific shift.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS certification required and maintained.
• Two years clinical nursing experience required.
• One year supervisory or charge nurse experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as required.
• Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or compact license.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Internal Candidate preferred.
