Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Full-Time – Days

Texas Health Denton invites a full‑time day shift ICU RN to provide compassionate, evidence‑based care to critically ill patients.

Work Location

207 N. Bonnie Brae Street, Denton, TX 76201

Work Hours

36 hours weekly, 3–12 hour shifts, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

ICU Department Highlights
  • 20 bed ICU unit – Surgical, Medical, Cardio, Vents, COVID, Vascular, CRRT

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • RN license required upon hire
  • CLIAFE compliance with foreign education equivalency
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support, maintained quarterly
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year ICU experience strongly preferred
  • NIHSS within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
  • Deliver care utilizing the Nursing Process: assess, plan, intervene, evaluate
  • Maintain patient safety and infection control measures tailored to age and condition
  • Initiate actions to meet patient and family information needs
  • Provide continuity of care during inter‑shift, inter‑hospital transitions, and expedited out‑of‑hospital transfers
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to manage life‑threatening emergencies
