Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201

Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Day Shift 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 6 shifts per 6‑week schedule with 2 weekend shifts required, 1 major and 2 minor holiday shifts required

• Our Intensive Care Unit RN's provide care to patients that require close monitoring and frequent assessments that proactively manage life‑threatening/emergent situations.
• 20 bed ICU unit – Surgical, Medical, Cardio, Open Hearts, Vents, COVID, Vascular, CRRT

• Self‑Scheduling for our ICU Unit

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1 year experience as a clinical nurse required.
• 1 year ICU experience strongly preferred.
• NIHSS within 90 days of hire

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.

The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.
