You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the roleYou will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Specialist should be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment and follow guidance provided by Bio Life Medical Affairs, providing center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
Howyou will contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings that require medical or technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate‑level nursing program with state requirements.
- Current license or certification in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Stateful basic IV therapy credentials.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Bio Life Compensation and Benefits SummaryWe are committed to equitable pay and transparency. For location USA – TX – Denton, the U.S. hourly wage range is $31.92 – $43.89.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with match, disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well‑being benefits. Eligible employees receive up to 80 hours of sick time per year, and new hires accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
