Med/SurgRN Job Details – Denton, TX
- Location: Denton, TX 76210 (North Texas healthcare jobs)
- Unit: Medical/Surgical (46 beds, 4th floor)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (12/22/2025 – 3/23/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
- Hours per Week: 36
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
- Self-scheduling: Available for flexible coverage
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,260 - $1,350
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (Texas nursing jobs)
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Ability to float to surgical unit and emergency room (ER) for med/surg hold nurse duties
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proactive, collaborative approach to patient care and willingness to ask questions
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in a busy medical-surgical unit
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 during night shifts
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, CNAs, and unit secretaries
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate patient documentation and care coordination
- Float to surgical and ER units as needed to support med/surg hold nurse responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment for patients and staff
