Job Title:

Licensed Vocational Nurse – Family Care (18141)

Work location:

3301 Unicorn Lake Blvd. Denton, TX 76210.

Work hours:

Full‑time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday, 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM;
Friday 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM.

Education
  • Accredited school of practical nursing program (Required)
Experience
  • One year of experience in a clinical setting (Preferred)
  • Epic experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse (Required)
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
What You Will Do
  • Perform basic nursing care for patients by following established standards and procedures. May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.
  • Collect patient data such as vital signs, note how the patient looks and acts or responds to stimuli and report this information accordingly.
  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds and change bandages.
  • Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Administer certain prescribed medications and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Convey information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Participate in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
