Plating Assistant

Mayday Manufacturing is a leading Aerospace machining and metal finishing company in Denton, Texas that provides a dynamic work environment with cutting-edge technology. Our company supports the growth and future of the Aerospace industry and is looking to add several Plating assistants to our team to contribute to our advancement.

• Abrasive blasting parts per customer specifications
• Clean parts for the stress relief process
• Placing parts in the Stress and Embrittlement ovens per the customer specifications
• Conversion coat plated parts per customer requirements
• Polishing non-plated surfaces on finished parts
• Stripping non-conforming parts per customer specification
• Count parts
• Fill out paperwork correctly for work done
• Move parts physically and in the ERP system to other locations
• Help platers as needed
• To meet the needs of our customers and colleagues, you are expected to be at your desk/station and ready to work at your designated start time.

• Ability to read and understand procedures and job travelers in English
• Ability to solve practical process or procedural problems/issues
• Detail oriented and have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced processing environment

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting or standing for extended periods
• Lifting & carrying items which may weigh up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

• Full time, 2nd shift
  • 2nd Shift – 3:00PM to 11:00PM (Monday thru Friday)
• Overtime may be required
• May be asked to work weekends with little to no notice

• Occasionally working in high or low temperatures
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate decibels
• Occasionally works in hazardous conditions
• Required to wear personal protective equipment such as glasses and hearing protection (PPE)
• Working around some machinery and chemicals

• Must have an acceptable criminal history background check
• Must pass a drug test
