Production Manager
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Production Supervisor/Manager located in Denton, TX
. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day evening production operations, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met, and coordinating staff to maintain efficiency on a refrigerated floor for our Freeze‑Dried Room. The Production Manager will handle production planning, supervise staff, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining clear and effective communication with team members and management.
This is a hands‑on NIGHT‑TIME position working alongside their team and not an office‑based role. This role requires supervision of 8+ employees. This is a full‑time salary exempt position to support our production expansion. Our new proposed schedule in early 2026 includes a 2‑2‑3 shift with alternating weekends (Week 1:
Monday/Tuesday working, Wednesday/Thursday off, Friday/Saturday/Sunday working; Week 2: Monday/Tuesday off, Wednesday/Thursday working, Friday/Saturday/Sunday off).
You will train alongside the current Production leaders supporting our current daytime shift starting at 6:00 am, Monday‑Friday, with some Saturdays FOR FIRST MONTH BEFORE TRANSITIONING TO EVENING SHIFT. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required per production schedule.
What You’ll Do- Oversee and supervise the production hourly team members providing support in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and engagement to support a culture of continuous improvement and a positive work environment.
- Responsibilities include plant optimization to ensure maximum production, quantity and quality, direct supervision of production team members, and working closely with all other departments in the plant, including food quality, maintenance, sanitation, and commercialization.
- Leading a team and facilitating the organization’s strategy for cultivating a fully engaged workforce through training, coaching and development, engagement, motivating, and contributing to team effort.
- Communicate company policies to hourly team members and train them in standard work practices and procedures for safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Interpret specifications and work orders to employees and assign duties based upon work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of team members.
- Provides performance oversight, safety monitoring for a safe working environment, and constructive and timely performance feedback managing performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, resolving issues through conflict resolution, etc.
- Develop production plans and procedures while driving production performance by establishing daily, weekly, and monthly goals, to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment, troubleshoots issues that arise,
- Hires, trains, coaches and reviews performance of team members with Operations leadership and Human Resources for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations.
- And other very important related responsibilities.
- 5+ years production supervisory experience in food manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a food processing facility highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate hourly production teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Proven experience building accountability, engagement and teamwork while maintain a respectful and safety‑focused culture.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of machine operations, meat processing machinery, 5S, lean manufacturing.
- Problem solver, can initiate and implement solutions to daily operational issues.
- Good math skills and ability to analyze production activities to achieve production goals.
- Adheres to and enforces GMPs, PPEs, and other protocols for safety and efficiency of the production floor.
- Strong Supervisory Skills to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Proficiency in managing Production Schedules and Production Planning.
- Experience in Production Management practices and processes.
