Pay & HoursPay is set at $16/hr plus overtime and monthly incentives. The position requires 48+ hours per week including overtime.
What You’ll DoThe Manager Trainee is a full‑time, entry‑level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. You must complete the learning plan and course of study within the assigned timeframe and be willing to relocate for a management position.
Training Areas- Sales and Customer Service:
Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment. - Store Operations & Inventory Management:
Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising. - Blueprint Reading & Estimation:
Create material estimates for building projects. - Forklift Operation & Certification:
Safe handling of materials and equipment. - Business Management:
Payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis. - Microsoft Office Suite:
Enhance and refine skills through a comprehensive training program.
No supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentWork in both indoor and outdoor settings, assisting customers in all weather conditions. Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 80 pounds, and work around machinery and airborne particles.
Responsibilities- Payroll, invoicing, inventory and POS system management
- Excel and Microsoft Office usage (previous experience preferred)
- Interpret and analyze common financial reports
- Read blueprints and create material lists
- Respond to common customer inquiries or complaints
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Availability for full‑time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included)
