The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The Active Treatment Coordinator (HHS Program Coordinator) will be hired and directly supervised by the Assistant Director of Programs mary responsibilities include organizing and coordinating leisure activities for individuals served which is age appropriate, based on individualized interests, and as meaningful in reaching their goals; providing coordination, assistance, and training to direct support staff; and maintaining adequate training materials and supplies to implement active treatment activities for assigned units.

Work involves overseeing, monitoring, and providing instruction/training regarding active treatment plans. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Some flex time, overtime, evening, some weekends may be required.

Essential Job Functions (EJFs)
  • Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime, in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Monitors the implementation of the program objectives by the Direct Support Staff, or optimal individual treatment and training for assigned therapeutic specialty. Ensures the direct support staff satisfactorily completes documentation of treatment for each consumer for programs related procedures. Ensures the collection and completion of data related to treatment plans in order to accuracy assess individual progress. Will participate in special projects by the Director, ADOP and DRS.
  • Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
